Sweet Logan… Please Help If You Can

I recently learned that a friend of mine’s great-nephew, Logan, has been recovering from a blood borne strep infection since June. The infection attacked his organs and caused inflammation throughout his whole body. He was not expected to live.

Logan is 7 years old.

Logan was on life support for 5 weeks, and though he is continuing to battle though the infection, he sadly has lost his right eye, right foot and a few fingers. The infection has killed tissue throughout his body. He will have a few more surgeries to remove dead skin and then the skin grafting will begin. His kidneys and lungs are improving and he is starting to use them on his own. He is lucid now and hasn’t lost his sense of humor or charm as witnessed in a video of him dancing in his hospital bed.

While Logan, his parents and his 4 year old brother are still in for “months” of being away from their home for ongoing treatment and healing for Logan, I wanted to try and help spread the word about the Care Page they have set up as well as donation information.
